Hospital Lab Technician II - Outreach/Referral Lab- FT Day Shift

To learn more about UCI Health, visit Responsibilities Position Summary: Provides a supportive link between UCI customers both internal and external, facilitates communications by effectively navigating computer and phone systems, builds and maintains customer relationships while providing a positive, professional and empathetic communication with all customers. Main duties include phone calls, computer data entry, printing/delivering lab reports, transporting specimens, monitoring courier activities, ordering and distributing supplies. Reviews lab requisitions and performs quality review and troubleshooting. Qualifications Required Qualifications: One year of applicable clinical lab work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Must possess valid California Driver's license and use of personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed) for mobile phlebotomy Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must possess current California Certified Phlebotomy Technician license. Experience with lab/hospital computer systems and software Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Demonstrated experience using a computer, including data entry and retrieval Ability to work weekends, and rotating shifts including evenings, nights and holidays Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organization Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in customer service Knowledge of UC policies and procedures Total Rewards We offer a wealth of benefits to make working at UCI even more rewarding.
