Principal Engineer, AI Systems

Leading the design and development of AI-native workflows, the full-time Principal Engineer, AI Systems will enhance engineering productivity and operational excellence remotely by architecting intelligent agents and integrating automation into various workflows. Key responsibilities Architect and build AI agents for observability, automated root cause analysis, and engineering productivity optimization Design agentic workflows that integrate across telemetry pipelines, application stacks, and cloud infrastructure Drive AI-native development practices and partner with engineering teams to embed intelligent automation into CI/CD and DevOps workflows Required qualifications 8+ years of experience in software engineering with exposure to AI/ML systems in production environments Proven experience building AI agents or autonomous workflows, with strong programming expertise in Python and at least one of Java or Go Experience working with distributed systems, telemetry data, and observability architectures Foundational AI skills, including prompt engineering and model evaluation Hands-on experience integrating LLMs into production workflows with proper evaluation mechanisms
