MES Systems Analyst - Process Planning

Role Description

The Pratt & Whitney Digital Factory Operations team has an exciting remote opportunity for a MES Systems Analyst - Process Planning. This individual will be involved in the delivery of designing, developing, enhancing, and implementing software solutions within Pratt & Whitney’s Center of Excellence (COE) for enterprise Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), as well as integrations with other enterprise products for our internal Operations customers.

• Support troubleshooting of problems related to software applications.
• Resolve systems integration and compatibility issues.
• Manage software development lifecycle.
• Access and exposure to technical and functional experts, business operations, and executives.
• Network with technical professionals and build relationships within the organization.
• Focus on process planning and manufacturing execution.
• Integrate Pratt and Whitney’s Teamcenter PLM with MES enterprise solutions and SAP ERP.
• Support existing OEM and MRO solutions and transformational growth for MES.
• Deploy next-gen solutions for OEM and MRO programs, new site implementations, and integrate with new technologies for IIOT and Industry 4.0.

• Bridging gaps between business processes and PLM functionality & capabilities.
• Oversee the implementation and optimization of PLM tools.
• Drive integration of PLM solutions with other business systems.
• Act as the subject matter expert in Teamcenter Business Modeler IDE.
• Stay informed on emerging manufacturing trends and identify opportunities to incorporate these technologies into PLM processes.
• Translate customer requirements into a solution design.
• Technical and functional problem solving.
• Task Management with a strong follow-up discipline.
• Meeting all budget, deliverable, and schedule targets.
• Production and end user support for PLM Process Planning solutions.
• Support integration with other enterprise solutions.
• Work with internal customers and external suppliers to architect and build system solutions.
• Manage suppliers and partners for solution development and implementation.
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously with regular reporting.
• Author and/or provide input to system functional requirements, technical design documentation, and test plans.
• Ensure compliance with RTX / PW policies & procedures.

The position is based remotely and up to 10% domestic/international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, Engineering, or related degree and 8+ years of experience in a related field; OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and 5+ years of experience.
• U.S. Citizenship is required due to Government contractual requirements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with PLM disciplines including process planning and authoring.
• Deep understanding of Teamcenter PLM authoring and process planning (EasyPlan & MPP).
• Knowledge of other manufacturing solutions (Solumina and OpCenter).
• Ability to translate business requirements to functional specifications.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people.
• Quick learner of existing system capabilities and structure.
• Prior experience in software development (C#, .NET, JAVA, SQL, etc.).
• Detail oriented, analytical and able to trace problems.
• Strong communication skills.
• Team player with strong follow-up skills.
• Excellent judgment and professional business maturity.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Self-starter with the ability to spot potential for process improvement.
