Shift:                3rd Shift | 23:30 PM – 7:00 AM

Description:

Job Summary

The Production Operator will operate and support various manufacturing equipment and production processes while ensuring quality, safety, productivity, and housekeeping standards are maintained.

The role may support multiple production areas, including grit blasting, grinding, belt sanding, chisel work, tack welding, brazing, cleaning, and other manufacturing operations as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain production equipment, including: Coating furnaces, Vacuum furnaces, Grit/sandblast equipment, Blenders, Masking equipment, Brazing stations
• Prepare and mix materials according to established specifications.
• Load and unload parts and materials from production equipment.
• Monitor production processes and inspect parts for quality and specification compliance.
• Produce parts efficiently according to certification and quality requirements.
• Use precision measuring tools as required.
• Complete travelers, log sheets, and other production documentation accurately.
• Maintain required production time standards.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles.
• Support continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing practices.
• Crosstrain other employees as required.
• Communicate professionally with peers, leadership, and customers.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and communicate written work instructions and specifications in English.
• Fluent English speaking, reading, and writing skills.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Ability to work effectively in a production environment and support multiple manufacturing areas.
• Must be able to pass required tests and annual examinations.
• Must meet required performance standards within the first six months.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, bend, twist, and lift 25+ lbs. for 8 hours or longer.
• Ability to work overtime when necessary, including weekends and potentially holidays.
• Must consistently follow required PPE and safety procedures.
• May be assigned to various production areas based on business requirements.

Production Areas

The operator may be required to support areas such as:

• Grit blasting
• Grinding
• Belt sanding
• Chisel operations
• Tack welding
• Brazing
• Cleaning
• Other production activities as assigned

• Follow company quality requirements and production standards.
• Adhere to the Corporate Code of Ethical Standards.
• Maintain department housekeeping using 5S principles.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing practices to support continuous process improvement.
• Maintain safe working practices and use appropriate PPE at all times.
