Our client, a manufacturer of hydraulic components, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping and General Laborer to join their team in Ashland .
The ideal candidate will assist in daily parcel packaging, shipping documentation, and various hands-on tasks including painting, crating, and basic mechanical assembly
Pay: $20.00-$23.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
Responsibilities:
Prepare and ship packages using UPS, FedEx, and other shipping platforms
Receive and inspect incoming shipments
Build wooden crates for specialized product and equipment shipments
Paint units according to customer specifications or supervisor instructions
Perform inventory tasks such as restocking parts, conducting cycle counts, and making adjustments in the ERP system
Assist with basic mechanical assembly, product conversions, and plumbing tasks (willing to train)
Operate a forklift (training provided)
Assist with other general labor duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
Previous experience with shipping and receiving
Comfortable using shipping software and basic computer systems
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the day
Willingness to be trained on forklift operation, basic mechanical assembly, and blueprint reading
Dependable, team-oriented, and eager to learn
