Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Psychiatry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year Psych/Behavioral Health, inpatient only License: Current RN License in the state of Missouri Certifications: BLS from AHA only Must-Have: 1 year Psych/Behavioral Health, inpatient only Description: This position involves providing patient care in a psychiatric setting for adults. Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in alignment with established guidelines of nursing practice. Responsible for monitoring and coordinating patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Expected to work varying schedules, shifts, and days of the week according to patient care requirements. May require standing and walking for most of the duty shift. Physical demands include significant bending, stooping, lifting, and turning of patients with assistance. High risk exposure to blood and body fluids is anticipated. Responsible for providing direct patient care activities, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Works within the established guidelines of nursing practice and relevant regulatory standards. Maintains a focus on high-quality care and prioritizes patient satisfaction. Engages with a compassionate and collaborative team environment. May provide assistance in other roles, such as tech or sitter, if needed.
