We also took 2nd place for Best Place to Work, making this the perfect time to join our growing team!Position/Titles:Security Officer for Recreation and Entertainment venueJob Description:As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding properties, deterring criminal activity, and ensuring the safety of businesses, construction sites, and residential communities, etc. Your role requires vigilance, strong decision-making, and excellent communication skills to handle security incidents effectively. Officers are responsible for completing tours and hourly activity logs. Officers spend most of their time at one of two desks, with a lot of foot traffic, and are mainly responsible for keeping the peace.Shifts:Sunday - 5:00 PM - 1:00 AM Monday - 5:00 PM - 1:00 AM (Total of 16 Hours Per Week) Plus opportunity for additional shifts. Compensation: $21.00 per hourSecurity Guard Responsibilities:Conduct routine patrols to monitor and secure designated locations.Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized access.Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensure public safety.Respond swiftly to incidents and provide support in emergency situations.Document daily activity, incidents, and observations accurately in reports.Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding security updates and concerns.Security Guard Qualifications:Valid BSIS Guard Card (required).Current with BSIS Compliance i.e: 8-Hour Initial Training Certificate32-hour continuing education certificatesStrong customer service skills and professional demeanor.Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to remain alert, responsive, and proactive in high-pressure situations.Graveyard experience preferredWhy Join Armorous?Award-Winning Company – Voted Best Security Company in the North Bay in 2025, and won 1st Place for Best Place to work in 2026!
