Diversified Tooling Innovations, a division of Wrought Washer, is hiring a CNC Repair Maintenance Technician for our Racine location!

Position Summary

The CNC Machine Repair Technician is responsible for modifying, repairing, rebuilding, installing, and maintaining a wide range of manufacturing equipment and machine tools. This role diagnoses equipment malfunctions, troubleshoots operating issues, and performs skilled mechanical repair work to help ensure equipment, machines, and facilities remain safe, reliable, and production-ready. This position supports two locations: Racine and Mount Pleasant.

Essential Functions

· Rebuild machines, including disassembly, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of worn or damaged parts.

· Lay out, fabricate, and weld fixtures, assemblies, frames, and structures used in the manufacturing process.

· Perform skilled mechanical operations, including fitting and aligning bearings, spindles, and shafts.

· Calibrate moving parts and machine components to ensure proper fit, alignment, and safe operation.

· Interpret and work from drawings, manufacturer specifications, manuals, and standard handbook formulas.

· Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and recommend repair or replacement of equipment when needed.

· Support preventive maintenance efforts to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.

· Maintain facilities, equipment, and work areas in a safe, clean, and operational condition.

· Follow all applicable safety procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

· Understand of complex machinery, how parts fit together, and how to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. This includes knowing how to work with hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating assemblies.

· Electrical and Control Systems Knowledge: electrical circuits, motors, and automated controls. Needs proficiency with multimeters, reading electrical schematics, and understanding Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)

· Troubleshooting, diagnostics

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Minimum of 2 years of machine repair experience required.

· Previous experience repairing CNC machines desired.

· Experience with Mori Seiki, Daewoo, Mazak, and Haas equipment preferred.

· Basic knowledge of industrial electronics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.

· Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting skills.

· Ability to apply health and safety practices, standards, and regulations in daily work.

· Willingness and desire to continuously learn, develop, and refine technical skills.
