Logistics Specialist 1

Logistics Specialist 1 – GAC Mesa Preferred experience: Supply chain experience in aerospace, warehousing operations, ERP systems, ability to drive a forklift. Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Entry level. Experience: Experience with inventory systems preferred. Licenses: Valid Driver's License required. Position Purpose: Under moderate supervision, perform material handling, inventory coordination, and distribution tasks to support manufacturing, service centers, and logistics operations. Ensure timely and accurate movement, tracking, and documentation of materials in compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Job Responsibilities Process pick tickets and material requests by pulling, issuing, and transporting parts to support manufacturing, service centers, spare parts sales, backshops, and/or distribution centers. Operate material handling equipment and company vehicles to move materials between departments and designated locations. Unload freight and verify paperwork. Maintain inventory accuracy through proper data entry and use of inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Corridor). Track parts to support schedules and customer requirements. Demonstrate a commitment to safety and quality throughout daily operations by following established procedures, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring all work meets regulatory and company standards. Handle Dangerous Goods per standards. Assist with inspection and tagging. Elevate discrepancies with clear communication and follow‑up actions. Maintain a clean work environment. Participate in improvement initiatives. Obtain certification to operate material handling equipment and meet all training requirements. Support Lean and sustainability initiatives; learn and apply Lean concepts. Perform other duties as assigned. Other Requirements Must have a valid Driver's License. Must be able to obtain certification to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment. Must comply with FAA regulations and quality procedures on documentation. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to work all shifts and weekends. This job requires reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.
