Staff Nurse

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Staff Nurse for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Clayton, NC. Details of the position are as follows:


Job Details:

• Pay: $40/hr to Start!!
• 6-month assignment, possibility for extension or conversion based on performance and budget.
• Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4pm
• Position will be mainly responsible for providing occupational health nursing care for employee injuries and illnesses, including assessments, first aid, emergency response, referrals, and follow-up care.
• Position will also be responsible for conducting pre-employment and ongoing health assessments, including hearing, vision, respiratory protection, and medical surveillance programs.
• Position will also administer and manage employee immunizations, perform venipuncture, and support onsite QA, R&D, manufacturing, and laboratory operations.
• Position will also respond to onsite medical emergencies, coordinate emergency transportation, and provide telephonic triage for workplace injuries.
• Position will also be responsible for maintaining employee medical records, workers' compensation documentation, and return-to-work cases while following occupational health and cGMP requirements.

Qualifications:

• Associate's OR Bachelor's degree in Nursing with an active RN license in North Carolina is Required!
• 3-5 years of nursing experience, preferably in Occupational Health, employee health, clinical nursing, public health, medical assessment, or emergency care is Preferred!
• Knowledge of Occupational Health, including ergonomics and industrial hygiene; COHN or COHN-S certification is Preferred!
• Experience with immunizations/vaccinations (Hepatitis B, Rabies, Tetanus, Diphtheria) and medical record creation and management is Preferred!
• Hands-on experience with nursing care, physical/health assessments, CPR/emergency response, health counseling, wellness coaching, and vision testing is Preferred!
