Details Short-term acute care, Level III trauma center with 252 staffed beds Primarily scheduled in the psychiatric ED area with potential floating to the main ED based on volume or department needs Cross-training required for both psychiatric ED and main ED nursing duties Care provided to all ages presenting with medical and psychiatric diagnoses Patient ratio of 1:5-6 Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 1900-0730 Every other weekend required 13-week assignment length Epic EMR used and required Requirements Active RN license, CT or compact license required (must apply prior to submission) Minimum 2 years of ED experience required (1.5 years may be considered with Level I trauma or travel experience) Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC MAB certification preferred Community hospital experience required Trauma Level II experience preferred Prior travel nursing experience required Epic charting experience required One professional reference required Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted COVID-19 vaccine exemption accepted only for religious or medical reasons Additional Information Deliver emergency nursing care to psychiatric and general ED patients across all age groups Manage a wide range of psychiatric presentations including acute psychosis, suicidal ideation, and managing violent behavior Handle medical emergencies such as respiratory distress, cardiac events, trauma, and neurological conditions Royal blue scrub color required Free parking provided as part of a large regional health system Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be considered Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved Travelers may be required to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities American Traveler Job ID P-745956.
