Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Westbrook, ME on a full-time basis for the school year. This unique position will involve working in a fast-paced behavioral health facility, providing academic support to adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 8 to 15 school-age patients at any one time.

 

Position entails a 40-hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday, 7:30-4:00pm. We offer a very generous package of paid time off including vacation time, sick time, federal holidays, and paid school breaks. Qualifications

• B.A/B.S degree from an accredited institution
• Maine Teaching Certification
• Comfortable working with adolescents
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
• Strong organizational skills
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to students need
• Ability to be able to commute to location

In the role of a LearnWell teacher, you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Hourly Position Options: no benefits
-Hourly 3 hours daily (2:30-4:40pm)
-Hourly 3 hours daily (5:00-7:30pm)
