Business Insurance Agent

Farmers Insurance is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Business Insurance Agent to help local businesses protect what they have worked hard to build. What You’ll Do Develop new commercial insurance clients through prospecting, referrals, networking, and relationship building Meet with business owners to understand their operations, exposures, and insurance needs Recommend appropriate Farmers Insurance commercial products and coverage options Prepare and present insurance proposals to prospective clients Build relationships with local business owners and centers of influence Develop referral partnerships with professionals such as lenders, real estate professionals, attorneys, accountants, and other community partners Maintain consistent communication with prospects throughout the sales process Cross-sell additional insurance products when appropriate Maintain accurate prospect and client information within agency systems Work toward established sales and activity goals Participate in ongoing product, sales, and professional development training Provide a professional and consultative client experience from initial conversation through policy implementation What We’re Looking For Successful candidates are: Comfortable speaking with business owners and decision-makers Motivated by goals and measurable results Strong relationship builders Confident prospecting and developing new business Professional and consultative in their sales approach Organized and able to manage multiple prospects at different stages of the sales process Comfortable using phone, email, text, networking, and face-to-face communication Self-motivated while also enjoying working as part of a team Interested in learning about different industries and how businesses operate Committed to providing excellent client service Preferred Experience Experience in any of the following areas can be beneficial: Commercial insurance Account management Banking or financial services Payroll or employee benefits sales Commercial lending Professional services Outside sales Small business management Previous insurance experience is helpful but not required for the right candidate. Licensing The selected candidate will be required to obtain the appropriate Property & Casualty insurance license before conducting insurance sales.
