Senior Platform Ops Engineer

Senior Platform Operations Engineer We are looking for an experienced Senior Platform Operations Engineer to build, operate, and evolve our Azure-based internal platform. The role focuses on delivering standardized self-service solutions, improving developer experience, platform reliability, and cloud adoption. Responsibilities Design, implement, and operate core platform services within Azure, including landing zone components, networking, and shared infrastructure. Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) modules and automation to enable consistent, scalable deployments across environments. Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment frameworks that support application teams in delivering software efficiently and reliably. Create and maintain “golden paths” that enable application teams to provision infrastructure and deploy services through self‑service capabilities. Collaborate with application engineering teams to onboard them to platform capabilities and improve overall developer experience. Implement and maintain observability solutions to ensure visibility into platform performance, health, and usage. Support escalation for platform and infrastructure‑related issues, working closely with application teams to resolve complex problems. Continuously monitor and optimize platform performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of platform standards, best practices, and documentation. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including SRE, Security, and Engineering to align on platform capabilities and operational excellence. Qualifications Proven experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering roles with a strong focus on hands‑on delivery and ownership. Strong knowledge of cloud computing technologies, with experience in Microsoft Azure environments including networking, compute, and managed services. Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or OpenTofu, including developing reusable modules and patterns. Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and deployment tooling. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes/AKS). Solid understanding of observability practices, including monitoring, logging, and alerting (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights). Strong understanding of networking, identity, and security best practices in cloud environments. Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to a collaborative, high‑performing team environment. Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving environment. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors. In addition to base salary, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus or commission tied to achieved results.
