PRN Speech Language Pathologist BRN and HCH Evaluates and treats patients requiring speech-language-swallowing therapy. Minimum Qualifications : EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: Current or temporary speech pathologist licensure in the applicable state where services will be performed. Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech Language Pathology OR must obtain within 48 months of hire. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date. CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Provides coordinated and comprehensive patient care including assessment, expected outcomes, rehabilitation interventions and evaluation with an interdisciplinary team approach. Provides coordinated and comprehensive patient care including assessment, expected outcomes, and rehabilitation interventions within an interdisciplinary team approach. Evaluates speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive-linguistic needs and develops and implements the treatment programs for assigned patients. Performs evaluation of patient response to tasks performed and delegated. Participates in the Performance Improvement program of the Rehabilitation Services department with emphasis on speech therapy. May supervise assigned graduate assistants/interns, students and volunteers. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
