Chassis Mechanic

We are looking to hire an ISO Chassis Mechanic to maintain ISO trailer chassis by installing and repairing brakes, suspension parts, pneumatic and hydraulic system parts, and welding (must be certified) at our location in Louisville, KY. Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Location: Louisville branch at 3837 Fitzgerald Road. Pay Range: $20.00 to $26.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Requirements: A valid driver's license is required. We cannot accept a suspended or expired license. Key Responsibilities Ability to run the lifts and yard dog Repair frames and metal truck trailers Modify and reconstruct chassis Installing electric wiring for dome lights and tailgates Fitting and assembling components Use hand tools and portable power tools Spray, brush primer and protective coating on metal/wood Welding (Certification required) as needed Qualifications and Skills Valid Driver's License required Must be a Certified Welder (Certification must be shown upon time welding test is given) Must have at least 2 years’ experience as a Chassis / Trailer Mechanic CDL or Lift Operator experience preferred Possess strong communication skills Detail oriented Ability to effectively prioritize work Ability to thrive in a team environment High school diploma or GED Benefits Partially employer paid Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance 401k with generous employer match Long and Short Term Disability Insurance PTO 10 Paid Holidays Parental Leave Tuition Reimbursement #J-18808-Ljbffr
