Shift Timing: Day shift, 7 hours

Job Summary:

• Responsible for supporting daily food service operations in a high-volume kitchen or dining facility.
• Duties include cleaning and sanitizing kitchen and dining areas, washing dishes and cookware, assisting with basic food preparation, setting up serving stations, replenishing food and beverages, and maintaining proper food storage.
• May assist cooks, bakers, and other kitchen staff with routine tasks and meal preparation.
• Follows established food safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient food service environment.

Required Skills:

• Ability to clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, dining areas, utensils, and food preparation surfaces.
• Basic food handling and preparation skills.
• Ability to wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils manually or using commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Ability to set up serving stations and replenish food, beverages, and dining supplies.
• Ability to follow written instructions for portioning ingredients and preparing meal trays.
• Knowledge of proper food storage, stock rotation, and kitchen hygiene practices.
• Ability to lift, carry, move, and organize food supplies and kitchen equipment.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to follow established safety, sanitation, and operational procedures.

Required Experience:

• Previous experience in food service, kitchen operations, dishwashing, cafeteria services, or food preparation is preferred.
• Candidates with practical kitchen or food service experience may also be considered based on the employer's requirements.
• Experience cleaning and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment and dining areas is an advantage.
• Experience assisting with meal preparation, food serving, portioning ingredients, or replenishing serving stations is beneficial.
• Experience in hospitals, nursing homes, schools, institutional kitchens, or other high-volume food service environments is desirable.
• Ability to perform routine physical tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Required Education:

• High school diploma.
