Requirements
- Basic life support
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Current and active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of Kentucky.
Certification in administering local anesthesia (if required by state law for hygienists).
Current CPR certification.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient education and team interaction.
Commitment to providing the highest standard of patient care and professionalism.
Job Description
Clinical Excellence: Perform comprehensive dental hygiene procedures including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, charting, and applying preventive agents (e.g., fluoride, sealants).
Patient Care & Education: Conduct thorough patient assessments, take and review medical histories, perform oral cancer screenings, and provide tailored oral hygiene instructions and education.
Preventive Program Management: Manage and maintain the hygiene schedule efficiently, ensuring high-quality, continuous preventive care is delivered.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dentist and the rest of the clinical team to ensure seamless and coordinated patient treatment plans.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential patient records.
Sterilization: Adhere strictly to all state and federal infection control and sterilization guidelines.
