Senior Manufacturing Engineer
AbbVie
Senior Manufacturing Engineer responsible for configuring and programming operational technology systems for pharmaceutical manufacturing processes. Leads automation projects, provides technical support, and administers control systems while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and change management procedures.
Responsibilities
- Develop moderate to complex control configurations and programming per design documents and functional requirements
- Lead small to medium-sized automation projects through implementation, monitoring, and reporting
- Act as subject matter expert for automation applications and process control systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot OT hardware, software, and networking issues; implement system upgrades
- Provide training to users and engineers on new automation technologies and process control applications
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 6+ years relevant experience
- Experience administering and configuring Distributed Control Systems such as Emerson DeltaV or Foxboro I/A
- Working knowledge of SCADA, PLCs including Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, and ladder logic programming
- Solid understanding of pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturing processes and regulatory expectations
- Familiarity with FDA, GMP, 21CFR11, and data integrity requirements
- Experience with commissioning, qualification activities, and computerized systems validation
