About the Role:
Ballerina Restaurant Inc is looking for a talented and passionate Cold Line Cook to join our kitchen team in the beautiful Bal Harbour, FL area. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute cold line items including salads, appetizers, charcuterie, and cold plates to menu specifications
- Maintain consistent food quality, portioning, and plating standards during service
- Perform proper mise en place setup and breakdown of the cold station before and after each shift
- Ensure all cold food items are stored, labeled, and rotated in compliance with food safety guidelines
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure smooth, efficient service during high-volume periods
- Monitor and maintain proper temperature control for cold storage and prep areas
- Assist with inventory management and communicate supply needs to kitchen leadership
Requirements:
- Bilingual : English and Spanish.
- Sushi experience a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience as a line cook, cold line cook, or prep cook in a restaurant environment
- Solid understanding of cold food preparation techniques and plating presentation
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and HACCP guidelines
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen setting
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to consistency and quality
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with a positive attitude
- Food Handler Certification or ServSafe certification preferred
