Faculty Physician – Cardiologist: Electrophysiology
(Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor)

The Cardiovascular Division at the University of Minnesota is seeking a board certified/eligible Electrophysiologist Cardiologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank on an academic track.

The incoming physician will work closely with Cardiovascular Division and Electrophysiology Section leadership to support and expand the University's clinical and academic missions.

Practice Highlights:

• Nationally and internationally recognized Electrophysiology program
• Position has both clinical and academic components, with a clinical focus
• Clinical work includes EP lab interventions, hospital service, and clinics
• EP Fellowship Program Director role may be available depending on experience
• Active program in standard and complex procedural care
• Multidisciplinary team of 28 cardiologists (3 electrophysiologists) and 18 advanced practice providers (3.5 EP dedicated)
• Strong referral base

Qualifications:

• Expertise in general clinical cardiology, with advanced training in electrophysiology
• Track record in research publication and mentorship
• Graduate of an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine residency and/or fellowship program
• Board eligible/certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology
• Eligible for Minnesota medical license and DEA, and able to meet credentialing/privileging requirements
• Able to obtain and maintain US work authorization

Preferred:

• Externally funded grants, large clinical trial experience, fellowship training support experience
• Prior leadership in clinical program development and national EP leadership/service

Compensation & Benefits:
Dual employment through University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Base salary range $379,000–$677,000, commensurate with experience and academic effort. Benefits include a 401K match, wellness program, CME/license/board/DEA fee allowance, malpractice coverage, and eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (501(c)(3) status).
