About the Position

Description

We are seeking 2 Physician Assistants (PAs) for full-time locum tenens coverage in Pain Management in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. Coverage is needed as soon as possible and will continue until permanent providers are hired.
Candidates must have active South Carolina licensure, DHEC credentials, and prior EPIC experience . The PAs will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care while collaborating with registered nurses and the supervising physician.

About the facility

The position is at a Pain Management practice in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. The practice has experienced support staff, with an MD onsite three days per week to provide collaboration, consultation, and clinical support.
The practice manages an average of 18–20 patients daily and provides follow-up care, new patient evaluations, individualized treatment plans, and medication management.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care in a Pain Management setting.
• Conduct follow-up visits and evaluate new patients.
• Manage an average daily schedule of 18–20 patients.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans.
• Provide medication management in accordance with established clinical protocols and applicable regulations.
• Document patient assessments, treatment decisions, and care plans accurately and promptly.
• Coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with patients, registered nurses, and the supervising physician.
• Collaborate with the supervising physician and utilize onsite clinical support as needed.

Qualifications

• Active South Carolina Physician Assistant license required.
• Active DHEC credentials required.
• Prior EPIC experience is mandatory.
• Experience in Pain Management is preferred.
• Ability to provide full-time coverage until permanent providers are hired.
• Ability to work collaboratively with registered nurses and the supervising physician.

Working Hours

• Schedule: Monday through Thursday.
• Hours: 7:30 AM–4:30 PM.
• Workweek: Sunday through Saturday.
• Coverage: Full-time, with 2 APPs needed as soon as possible.
• Assignment Start Date: November 16, 2026.
• Assignment End Date: Open, until permanent providers are hired.
• On-call: Not required.
• Prior travel experience: Not required.
