We are building our EM Team at Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center in Washington, DC, with a start date of September 1, 2026. We have full-time, part-time, and PRN MD/DO and APP positions available.

• Lead our close-knit team of 10 physicians and 6 APPs at Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center.
\ N
• Work alongside our dedicated providers, committed to providing patient-centered care in collaboration with all stakeholders in a positive manner.
\ N
• Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center is a 136-bed hospital in Southeast Washington, D.C. The Emergency Department has 32 beds dedicated to the Adult ER, with Children’s National Hospital staffing the pediatric emergency department.

• Accountable, on-site leadership: a local medical director who knows the community and owns the department's performance, supported by Sound's leadership-development tools.
\ N
• Stable, well-staffed teams: cohesive teams aligned on our patient-first culture of excellence, which means less reliance on premium temp labor and more predictable shifts.

Qualifications:

• Board certified/eligible Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine with Emergency Medicine experience.
\ N
• Board-certified/eligible in ABEM or ABOEM.
\ N
• Authorized to work in the United States.
\ N

Scheduling:

\ N

\n
• 40 hours of Physician coverage and 24 hours of APP coverage daily.
\ N
• The monthly workload for full-time positions is 120 hours, while part-time entails 80 hours per month.
\ N

Key Responsibilities:

• The EM team responds to floor codes.
\ N
• The Sound hospitalist team is part of the Rapid Response and Code team.
\ N
• Cerner is our EMR.
\n

• This position is based in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area, one of the nation’s most dynamic and diverse regions. The DC area offers a unique blend of government, healthcare, academic, and private-sector innovation, with easy access to leading institutions and decision-makers.
