Job Responsibilities of Occupational Therapist:

• Evaluates and ensures patients’ plan of care.

• Oversees occupational therapy assistants providing guidance, discussing progress, and monitoring clinical interventions/skills.

• Provides skilled services and interventions using various techniques needed to achieve patients’ goals.

• Follows all regulations and guidelines of the facility including compliance with confidentiality and HIPPA.

• Adheres to discussed scheduled hours.

• Provides skilled documentation of patient’s condition, and provides caregiver/patient education, progress, and need for services.

• Ensures safe treatment practices and monitors patients’ engagement and responses to treatment modifies as necessary.

Requirements for Occupational Therapist:

• Valid Occupational Therapy license

• Graduated from accredited Occupational Therapy program

• Experience with rehab optimal and skilled nursing facilities preferred
