Job Title

Registered Nurse – Neuro ICU (Level 3)

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shifts (Days, Evenings, Nights) | Onsite | Holidays, On-Call, Callback, and Charge duties per unit needs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill neurological patients in a 12-bed intensive care unit
• Manage patients with diagnoses including traumatic brain injury, aneurysm, status epilepticus, stroke, and other critical neurologic pathologies
• Deliver a high degree of specialized nursing and medical care requiring strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making
• Monitor patients via telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed per unit requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license – NY license required
• Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience in an ICU acute care setting
• Telemetry experience required
• BLS certification – American Heart Association only
• ACLS certification – American Heart Association only
• NIHSS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for patients with neurological or neurosurgical conditions
• Demonstrated ability to remain current in critical care knowledge and best practices
