Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in radiological technology or equivalent preferred
• Master's Degree preferred
• Experience in radiologic technology preferred
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (AART-T) required
• Certification of Therapeutic Radiology Technology (RTT) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
• Fluoroscopy Permit from the state of practice preferred
• At least two years recent experience in field required

Responsibilities

• Administers ionizing irradiation to patients following prescriptions and instructions from physicians
• Delivers prescribed daily doses while ensuring safety measures for patients and personnel
• Prepares treatment room and equipment, and transfers patients to treatment couches
• Observes patients for reactions and complications during treatment and reports them accordingly
• Maintains records of daily treatment and regularly reviews patient charts
• Provides clinical supervision and evaluates students' practical abilities
• Performs additional job-related duties as assigned
