You will need to navigate back to your application to complete and submit it.If you have any questions, please call the HR line at View phone number on click.appcast.io.JOB SUMMARYThe Shipping Specialist reports to the Plant Manager/Shift Supervisor and will provide support with the shipping, loading and transportation of manufactured panels.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSConsistently promote high standards through personal example.Coordinate the movement of goods; responsible for preparing shipments, tracking deliveries and resolving shipping issuesPick/pack and ship orderOperate overhead cranesOperate multiple size lift trucksManage logisticsReceive merchandise for return or delivery and verify contentsMaintain and accurately record inventory which includes but is not limited to dunnage, lumber wrap, banding, etc.Regular Attendance and PunctualIdentify damaged, lost, or missing productsLabel & scan productsUnload CNC and Beamline Roll case- this includes operating roll case transfers on CNC, Beam line and Crossover TransferSchedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure sufficient storage space for incoming items and organize stack production for correct loading of trucks and/or rail carsPerforms cycle countsMaintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requests.Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, and workstations neat, maintaining clean shipping supply area, complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Completes reports by entering required information.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededOther duties as assignedAbility to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently and effectively.Good work history/ attendance record.OTHER RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilities are not limited to the above-mentioned and may include assisting other branches with reasonable and related tasks.PHYSICAL DEMANDSAbility to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, sit, talk, or hear.Exposed to varying indoor and outdoor weather conditions.QUALIFICATIONSMust have and demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skillsMust have and demonstrate a highly effective attention to detailsAbility to work effectively with multiple logistics and other software programs including email, spreadsheets, word processing, etc.Must have positive and effective interpersonal communication skills and ability to work well with others. .Excellent team player.Good analytical, problem-solving skills and math skills.OUR COMPANYFreres Engineered Wood, formerly Freres Lumber Co., Inc. was established in 1922 in Lyons, Oregon as a family-owned and operated wood products manufacturing business.
