Job Title: CDL Class A Driver 
Location: Des Moines, IA

Pay:
• $28+ (will go hire for a better driver)
• OT after 40hrs

Schedule:
• 6am start 
• Monday - Thursday
• 7 - 11 hour days
• Always getting 40+ hours a week even in a 4 day work week

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities:
• Load, haul, and deliver food waste on regional and interstate routes
• Operate 30'–45' open-top dump trailers and combination vehicles
• Safely operate automatic transmission vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations and all local, state, and federal laws
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Operate manual and electric pallet jacks as needed
• Utilize pressure washers to clean bins and containers, ensuring customer locations remain clean and debris-free
• Utilize electronic logging devices (ELDs) and maintain DOT driver logs
• Use company-provided computer and mobile technology for communication, training, and expense management

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Valid Class A CDL License required
• 2 years of CDL A driving experience
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and PSP report
• Ability/experience using hand operated remote controls (will be operating a hydraulic system)

Equipment & Additional Information:
• 30'–45' open-top dump trailers and combination vehicles
• Automatic transmission trucks
• Manual and electric pallet jacks
• Electronic logging devices (ELDs)
• Pressure washing equipment
• Interstate travel may be required regardless of regular route assignment

Physical Requirements:
• Regular lifting, pulling, and pushing of up to 70 lbs
• Ability to pull or roll up to 300 lbs when handling totes
• Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, shoveling, reaching overhead, and other physical activities
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Comfortable working around food waste, farm environments, and associated odors
