The SharePoint Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions using Microsoft SharePoint, Power Platform, and related Microsoft 365 technologies. This role includes designing, deploying, customizing, and supporting SharePoint Online sites, lists, libraries, workflows, and forms, as well as building and supporting Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven), Power Automate workflows, and Dataverse-based solutions. The position integrates SharePoint and Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365 services, Azure, and third-party APIs, and works closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, deliver scalable and secure solutions, and enhance collaboration, automation, and overall business efficiency.

Essential duties and responsibilities include administering and configuring SharePoint Online environments, managing user access and security settings, establishing and enforcing governance standards, monitoring system health and performance, providing day-to-day operational support, designing and maintaining business solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate, managing data sources, integrating SharePoint with Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft 365 services, developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts, maintaining documentation, training and supporting end users, reviewing and approving apps and flows, and acting as the primary technical owner for SharePoint within the organization.

Knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors include embracing and embodying the City's core values, communicating effectively, producing desired work outcomes, planning and organizing work, administering and supporting SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Server, proficiency in SharePoint Framework, PowerApps, Power Automate, Teams App Development, strong knowledge of Microsoft Graph API and other O365 APIs, hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, working knowledge of PowerShell, creating custom connectors and developing API integrations, solid understanding of low-code/no-code platforms, UI/UX best practices, and business process automation, specialized proficiency with the Microsoft ecosystem, and ability to seamlessly integrate Microsoft solutions with external applications and platforms.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline supplemented by four years of progressively responsible experience in Information Technology Systems, and obtaining ITIL Foundation certification within 12 months of employment. Preferred qualifications include 4+ years of experience administering SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Server in an enterprise environment, strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration, proven experience with permissions, security groups, retention, and compliance, hands-on experience with PowerShell for SharePoint and M365 automation, experience designing information architecture, metadata, and content management strategies, strong troubleshooting and operational support skills, experience with user adoption, training, and documentation, familiarity with Power Platform governance and ALM, Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert, and PL-900 (Power Platform Fundamentals).
