Physical Therapist This position provides physical therapy services to a pediatric population, from neonatal through adolescence and young adulthood. The role involves evaluation, program planning, and treatment of patients using modalities such as exercise, neuromuscular re‑education, mobilization, heat/cold, taping, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound, tailored to age and developmental/functional level determined by assessment. Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients with diverse diagnoses, including neurological, sensorimotor, musculoskeletal, complex medical conditions, and trauma. Use pediatric‑based behavior management strategies and match interventions to the child's age and ability. Establish treatment plans with functional, measurable goals and target timeframes, obtaining agreement from family or guardian, and implement plans using prescribed modalities. Maintain timely, compliant documentation per Joint Commission, state/federal guidelines, and CARF standards, and participate in Total Quality Management. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, coordinate community resources, and contribute to discharge planning, care conferences, school re‑entry, patient education, and outpatient rounds. Build and maintain rapport within the department, hospital, and community; participate in in‑service training programs; supervise and direct assistants, technicians, and students, providing performance evaluations. Perform miscellaneous duties as requested. Qualifications Education: Graduation from a physical therapy program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association. Experience: Pediatric experience. Special Skills: Specialty training in pediatric orthopaedics, neuro, NDT, taping, child development, or other relevant pediatric areas; and/or APTA pediatric specialty certification. Additional Requirements: Current Arizona State Board of Physical Therapy license, Arizona DP fingerprint clearance card, and Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers.
