Physician - Obstetrics & Gynecology (Locum Tenens)

Location: Lewisburg, Pennsylvania

Facility: WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital

Start Date: June 1, 2026

Duration: 13 Weeks (Ongoing Potential)

Schedule

  • Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (8-hour day shifts)
  • Coverage: 2 weeks per month
  • Pattern: Typically Monday-Wednesday (2-3 day stretches)
  • Call: PRN (as needed)
  • No block scheduling
Practice Details

  • Setting: Acute Care Hospital / Outpatient Clinic
  • Patient Volume: 20-25 patients per day
  • Patient Population: Ages 14-90 (OB & GYN)
  • Support Staff: Clinic nurses, registration staff, clinical supervisor, office supervisor, practice manager
  • EMR: EPIC
Procedures & Equipment

  • Minor procedures including:
    • Endometrial biopsy (EMB)
    • Colposcopy
    • Pessary maintenance
    • PAP smears
  • Colposcope available (or option to refer internally)
Requirements

  • Board Certification: Required (BC/BE - OBGYN)
  • License: Pennsylvania (PA) - Required
  • IMLC: Accepted
  • Certifications: BLS
  • DEA: Required (PA address required)
  • Vaccination: Required (or approved exemption)
Credentialing

  • Timeline: 60-90 days
  • Must be fully credentialed 2 business days prior to start
  • Temporary Privileges: Available for clean files (urgent cases only)
  • Work History: 7 years or 10 assignments required
  • NPDB Self-Query: Required (within 6 months)
  • Malpractice Disclosure: Full disclosure required
Compensation

  • Base Rate: $379/hour
  • Overtime Rate: $568.50/hour
  • Holiday Rate: $568.50/hour
Travel & Expenses

  • All travel covered:
    • Airfare
    • Hotel
    • Rental car
    • Mileage
Additional Notes

  • Provider questionnaire required at submission
  • Daily name clears sent to client
  • Telehealth requires active licenses in both residence and service state
