Physician - Obstetrics & Gynecology (Locum Tenens)

Location: Lewisburg, Pennsylvania

Facility: WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital

Start Date: June 1, 2026

Duration: 13 Weeks (Ongoing Potential)

Schedule

Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (8-hour day shifts)
Coverage: 2 weeks per month
Pattern: Typically Monday-Wednesday (2-3 day stretches)
Call: PRN (as needed)
No block scheduling

Practice Details

Setting: Acute Care Hospital / Outpatient Clinic
Patient Volume: 20-25 patients per day
Patient Population: Ages 14-90 (OB & GYN)
Support Staff: Clinic nurses, registration staff, clinical supervisor, office supervisor, practice manager
EMR: EPIC

Procedures & Equipment

Minor procedures including:
- Endometrial biopsy (EMB)
- Colposcopy
- Pessary maintenance
- PAP smears
Colposcope available (or option to refer internally)

Requirements

Board Certification: Required (BC/BE - OBGYN)
License: Pennsylvania (PA) - Required
IMLC: Accepted
Certifications: BLS
DEA: Required (PA address required)
Vaccination: Required (or approved exemption)

Credentialing

Timeline: 60-90 days
Must be fully credentialed 2 business days prior to start
Temporary Privileges: Available for clean files (urgent cases only)
Work History: 7 years or 10 assignments required
NPDB Self-Query: Required (within 6 months)
Malpractice Disclosure: Full disclosure required

Compensation

Base Rate: $379/hour
Overtime Rate: $568.50/hour
Holiday Rate: $568.50/hour

Travel & Expenses

All travel covered:
- Airfare
- Hotel
- Rental car
- Mileage

Additional Notes

Provider questionnaire required at submission
Daily name clears sent to client
Telehealth requires active licenses in both residence and service state
