Job Opportunity – Operating Room Registered Nurse – Alaska

Start Date: October 23, 2026

Location: Alaska

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Full-time position with after-hours call coverage for nights, holidays, and weekends to support emergency and elective surgical services

Highlights:

• Diverse surgical case mix including abdominal, thoracic, urology, ENT, plastic surgery, orthopedics, vascular, and OB/GYN procedures
• Critical access hospital environment serving a unique patient population
• Experience both elective and emergency surgical cases in a dynamic perioperative setting
• Travel assignment requiring Alaska RN licensure prior to submission
• Minimum 5-week credentialing timeline following fingerprint submission
• Candidates are responsible for arranging housing and transportation

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN, Associate Degree, or Diploma)
• Valid, current, full, and unrestricted Alaska RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Experience in Critical Access Hospital and/or rural Operating Rooms strongly preferred
• Ability to complete fingerprinting within 2-3 days of acceptance to ensure timely start date
