Job Title: General Laborer

Job Description

This role involves unloading containers, palletizing and repacking frozen products, and preparing items for storage in a refrigerated environment. You will work with pallet jacks and RF scanners to ensure products are accurately counted, organized, and moved efficiently within a 45-degree cooler.

Responsibilities

• Unload containers and move products safely within the facility
• Palletize and repack frozen products for storage and distribution
• Count and verify product quantities using RF scanners
• Assemble and organize products on pallets according to guidelines
• Load and unload materials using manual and electric pallet jacks (including CROWN equipment)
• Maintain accurate records of items handled and stored
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines when working in cold storage
• Work efficiently to meet daily productivity goals and support team operations
• Support general warehouse duties as needed, including cleaning and organizing work areas

Essential Skills

• Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift
• Ability to work in a 40–45 degree refrigerated environment
• Experience unloading products and materials
• Experience palletizing and packing items for storage or shipment
• Ability to accurately count products and follow instructions
• Capability to operate manual and electric pallet jacks, including CROWN equipment
• Basic proficiency using RF scanners for inventory and tracking
• Reliability to work early morning shifts and overtime as needed

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in cold storage or refrigerated warehouse environments
• Experience in general labor, loading, unloading, and assembly work
• Comfort working with frozen products for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in counting and packing
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting

Work Environment

This position is based in a refrigerated warehouse environment maintained at approximately 45 degrees, with frequent exposure to frozen products and cold storage areas. The standard schedule runs from 5:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with regular overtime that may extend the workday until about 6:00 PM. You will use RF scanners, manual pallet jacks, and electric pallet jacks (including CROWN equipment) to handle and move products. The role is physically active, requiring extended periods of standing, walking, and lifting while working in cooler temperatures, with appropriate cold-appropriate attire recommended for comfort and safety.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Medley, FL.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
