Accounts Payable Manager

Accounts Payable ManagerEssential duties include leading the accounts payable section in identifying, verifying, analyzing, and implementing process improvement opportunities; contributing to the development and implementation of the affiliate's continuous improvement strategy; working with other work groups and stakeholders to develop new support material; providing day-to-day accounts payable support; demonstrating a strong partnership with various departments; monitoring key operational metrics; supporting maintenance of desktop procedures; managing operational escalations; collaborating effectively with key internal stakeholders; providing regular communication and training; ensuring compliance with statutory requirements; developing and managing a high functioning accounts payable team; supervising team productivity workload; developing and implementing policies and procedures; auditing and approving AP financial transactions; ensuring completeness and accuracy of accounts payable vouchers; maintaining and troubleshooting SAP Concur invoice automation system; overseeing the process of reconciling vendor statements; working with outside vendors to resolve accounts payable related issues; monitoring aging of payables; overseeing the 1099 process; ensuring communication with key vendors; managing, coordinating, and supporting special projects; assisting in providing information for annual audit and budget preparation; and preparing reports and providing accounting-related information.Qualifications include a BA/BS degree in business, supply chain, procurement, finance, or project management; 5+ years of procure-to-pay and continuous improvement/business analysis experience; 5+ years of supervisory management required; experience with Concur is required; and experience with NetSuite ERP is a plus.Requirements include interpersonal experience and a track record of working with cross-functional business stakeholders; experience using analytic tools; analytical and project management experience; working knowledge of Accounts Payable best practices; ability to lead and implement change; ability to communicate effectively; strong problem solving, analytical skills, and sense of ownership; self-motivated and self-managed; extensive Excel background; ability to work independently; ability to communicate effectively; working knowledge of financial spreadsheets and accounting software packages; organizational and decision making skills; ability to maintain confidentiality; and ability to maintain composure under stress.
