RN - ICU

Job Summary:

Provides coordinated nursing care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and coordinates assigned nursing staff while using critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) (Preferred)

• Acute care facility experience (Preferred)

Licenses & Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice (Required)

• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification from an approved vendor per AH policy (Required)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assesses patients and collects relevant health data.

• Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized patient care plans.

• Coordinates care with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members.

• Provides patient and family education and health information.

• Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.

• Delegates and coordinates duties of healthcare team members appropriately.

• Promotes a safe and effective patient care environment.

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
