Description:

Courier transports items between the clinics and hospital. The light mechanic performs general and preventative maintenance throughout the hospital and hospital owned off-site properties.

Functions of the Position (not an exhaustive list):

• Deliver/pick-up mail and run errands as necessary. Deliver items between all clinics and hospital
• Assist with fire drills
• Maintain assigned mechanical rooms and work areas in a clean and orderly condition
• Answer phones and relay information as needed
• Assist with responding to all calls. Complete work orders for routine or emergency repairs. Complete repairs and document services rendered
• Complete required reports for each job assignment, detailing time and materials used for each completed task

Qualifications:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent, trade school preferred
• Clean driver's license and driving record

Necessary Skills:

• Communications with vendors, staff, and customers
• Maintain strictest confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations
• Familiarity with regulatory standards

Physical Demands:

• Constant standing/walking
• Lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs.
• Push/pull heavy equipment up to 250 lbs
• Repetitive twisting and pressure involving hand and finger mobility
• Reaching at all levels
• Stooping, bending, kneeling, or crouching
• Possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens

Protective Equipment Required:

• Safety glasses
• Occasional use of rubber gloves or hearing protection
• PPE as required
