Funeral Director

NorthStar Memorial Group is seeking an experienced and compassionate Funeral Director to join our team at San Jacinto Funeral Home in Houston, Texas. This is an opportunity for a professional who takes pride in serving families, takes initiative without being asked, follows through on commitments, and can confidently manage the many details involved in funeral service. What You’ll Do Serve as a trusted source of support, guidance, and direction for families before, during, and after the loss of a loved one. Take ownership of arrangements and coordinate the details necessary to provide a meaningful, seamless experience for each family. Coordinate, assist with, and carry out all aspects of funeral services, visitations, ceremonies, burials, cremations, and final memorialization. Communicate clearly and compassionately with families, clergy, cemeteries, crematories, vendors, and other service partners. Anticipate needs, identify potential issues, and take initiative to resolve them before they affect the family or service. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure arrangements are completed thoroughly and on schedule. Work collaboratively with the funeral home team while also demonstrating the ability to work independently and make sound decisions. Adhere to all applicable professional, municipal, state, and federal laws, regulations, licensing requirements, and funeral service standards. Maintain the highest standards of care, professionalism, confidentiality, and respect for the deceased and their families. What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate is more than someone who holds a funeral director license. We are looking for a dependable professional who can be trusted to follow through, take ownership, and step up when needed. Licensed Funeral Director in Texas or eligible for Texas reciprocity. Previous funeral service experience strongly preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while confidently handling responsibilities independently. Why NorthStar Memorial Group?
