A typical day may include: Reviewing the schedule and EMR to prioritize caseload and plan treatments Carrying out one-on-one or small-group therapy sessions focused on functional goals Providing education to patients and caregivers on exercises, safety strategies, and use of assistive devices Collaborating with the therapy team and nursing staff to support patient mobility and positioning throughout the day Documenting treatments, progress notes, and functional status changes in the EMR system Participating in team meetings or care conferences as requested Patient acuity ranges from post-surgical and orthopedic rehab to medically complex, chronic conditions and general debility. Patient ratios and caseloads are designed to balance quality, safety, and productivity, with a strong emphasis on individualized care.
