We are looking for a Sales Associate to join our growing team in Charlotte, North Carolina serving the Concord, Huntersville, and Lake Norman region. As Sales Associate, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and managing the sales process for residential and commercial pool construction, renovation, remodeling, and related services. This role involves developing client relationships, identifying prospective customers, conducting site evaluations, preparing proposals, and coordinating project handoffs to operations following contract execution. You will collaborate with internal departments, including Project Management, Marketing, Accounts Receivable, and Administration, to ensure a seamless customer experience from initial inquiry to sales completion. This is a commission-only sales position. Compensation is based solely on earned commissions in accordance with Pearl Pool’s commission plan where your earnings are directly tied to your performance, offering unlimited income potential for motivated, self-driven individuals. A draw will be provided to new Sales Associates to support ramp-up during the initial period. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified residential and commercial sales opportunities. Prospect for new business through networking, referrals, industry relationships, community involvement, and self-generated lead development. Respond promptly to customer inquiries and sales opportunities. Conduct on-site consultations to assess customer needs and project scope. Perform field measurements, evaluations, and take-offs necessary to prepare project estimates. Prepare accurate proposals and present project recommendations to prospective customers. Negotiate project scope and pricing within established company guidelines. Close sales and execute customer agreements. Maintain consistent communication with prospective and existing customers throughout the sales process. Customer Relationship Management & Engagement Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication and responsiveness. Guide customers through material selections and available project options. Educate customers regarding construction timelines, project expectations, and company processes. Address customer concerns promptly and professionally. Promote customer satisfaction to encourage repeat business and referrals. Coordinate the transition of sold projects to Project Management and Operations. Ensure complete and accurate project documentation is submitted following contract execution. Collaborate with administrative staff regarding permitting documentation and project requirements. Communicate customer expectations and project details to internal teams. Assist with change orders and customer communications throughout the project lifecycle as needed. Maintain accurate sales records and customer information within company systems. Track proposals, contracts, sales activity, and project status. Provide regular sales forecasts and pipeline updates to management. Maintain all required documentation in accordance with company policies. Work collaboratively with Marketing to maximize lead generation opportunities. Partner with Project Managers and Operations to ensure customer expectations are met. Support Accounts Receivable regarding contract deposits and customer payment information when necessary. Participate in sales meetings, company meetings, and training programs. Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned. Skills & Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of successful outside sales experience, preferably within the swimming pool, construction, remodeling, home improvement, or related industries. Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals and generating new business. Proven ability to independently develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, referrals, and repeat business. Experience conducting on-site consultations, project evaluations, estimating, and negotiating contracts. Strong understanding of residential and/or commercial construction processes is preferred. Exceptional relationship-building, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple opportunities while maintaining attention to detail and customer service. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands. Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and estimating software preferred. Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and the ability to travel throughout the assigned territory to visit with clients or sites. This position requires attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and a proactive approach to sales and project coordination. The Sales Associate is expected to continuously strive for excellence in all aspects of their role. Flexible scheduling is required based on customer availability, project demands, and business needs. Regular travel throughout the assigned territory is required to meet with customers and conduct site evaluations. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the workday Ability to safely navigate residential and commercial construction sites, including areas with uneven terrain, changing conditions, and active project work. Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and navigate construction areas safely Ability to lift and carry up to 25-50 pounds occasionally Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions while visiting client locations and active job sites. Compensation is based solely on earned commission in accordance with Pearl Pool’s commission plan. A draw will be offered for a new hire to support ramp-up in the initial period. The draw will be available for either twelve months from the employee’s start date or until earned commission at the given rate reaches the equivalent amount of the provided draw.
