As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the hospital. While providing clinical and administrative support on the unit, you will work closely with the clinical team to create and implement a care plan that meets each patient's needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating unit activities and assuring accountability of all assigned tasks.
• Instructing and educating patients and family members.
• Administering prescribed medications, changing dressings, cleaning wounds, and monitoring vital signs.
• Monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• Serving as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Coordinating patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
• Licensed, as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia through the Board of Health Professions.
• Registered Nurse with "multi-state privilege" granted to them by virtue of holding a license in one of the states participating in the Nurse Licensure Compact Agreement and who has not established permanent residency in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 12 months of start date.
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 12 months of start date.
