We foster programs in the areas of basic, translational, mechanistic and population research.

Position Summary
We are looking for a Research Assistant responsible for:

* Support the coordination and administration of research studies and program activities.
* Recruit, screen, consent, and coordinate participants throughout the study lifecycle.
* Schedule study visits, meetings, and project-related activities while ensuring adherence to research protocols.
* Maintain study documentation, databases, and records, ensuring accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance.
* Collect and manage research data, conduct quality checks, and assist with reporting and program evaluation activities.
* Collaborate with participants, research teams, sponsors, and community partners to support successful project execution.
* Assist with study start-up activities, SOP development, process improvements, and general operational support.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Management Preferences

• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to communicate professionally with study participants, investigators, sponsors, UNC administrative units, or external partners
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow up on assignments in a timely manner
• Working knowledge or ability to learn about research principles or methods of data collection, entry, or management
• Ability to work independently while seeking guidance when appropriate
