Medical Receptionist - Ophthalmology

Job Description Job Description Panacea Eye Center is an upscale, fast-growing ophthalmology practice in Vero Beach seeking a
full-time Medical Receptionist/Scheduler to join our team. If you are professional, confident,

exceptional patient experience from the first point of contact.
What You’ll Do
Greet and check in patients with professionalism and warmth
Manage scheduling for office visits and procedures
Coordinate incoming calls and front desk communication
Verify insurance and assist with billing questions
Collect copays and balances accurately
Prepare and maintain patient charts and records
Assist with consents and patient communication
Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times
Support office flow and assist team members as needed
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 2 years medical office experience preferred
Ophthalmology experience is a plus (will train the right candidate)
Strong computer skills (AdvancedMD, Nextech, Gmail preferred)
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced setting
Professional, positive, and patient-focused attitude
Strong communication and customer service skills
Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
Work Environment
Fast-paced, team-driven medical office
Significant computer and phone use throughout the day
Interaction with patients, staff, and insurance providers
Must be comfortable handling sensitive medical information

Schedule
Monday–Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Friday: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM
