About the Role The Accounting Associate will be a key member of BetMGM's finance team and be heavily involved in building and maintaining new finance processes. This role will play an important part in supporting the roll-out of new offerings into new states while involve partnering with business stakeholders, our parent companies and state regulators. A successful candidate will exhibit a keen attention to detail, strong finance & business instinct and the ability to work both efficiently and effectively in an ever-changing environment. Above all the candidate must be passionate about what they do! This role requires weekend submissions that will require some Saturday and Sunday work. This also brings flexibility with weekday working patterns. Responsibilities Manage daily finance reconciliations across multiple channels and states Develop a strong understanding of BetMGM's revenue cycle and reporting process Assist the Revenue Accounting team in performing month end reconciliations Identify reconciling financial differences and take ownership of daily investigationsWork closely with the Business Intelligence team during variance investigations Work closely with the Risk, Trading and Customer Operations teams during investigations Provide support on all internal and external audit requests Provide support to the wider finance team with ad-hoc requests as required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Qualified, Part Qualified or visible evidence of working towards a CPA Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets Ambitious self-starter, proactive and passionate about finance and business Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate, describe and explain Strong attention to detail Familiarity with, or interest in, SQL and data warehouse tools (e.g., Snowflake) to support data validation and investigation is a plus The hourly pay range for this position is $24.42 to $31.00. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for participation in a performance-based bonus plan.
