Supported Education & Employment Specialist

The Supportive Employment Specialist is an integral member of the Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC) team, providing individualized employment and educational support services to individuals experiencing early episodes of psychosis. Using the evidence-based Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model, the specialist assists clients in identifying and achieving their vocational and educational goals while integrating these supports into their overall recovery plan.
Key responsibilities include conducting ongoing vocational assessments, developing individualized job or education plans, and supporting clients in all phases of the employment or academic process-from job search to placement to long-term success. The specialist collaborates closely with the mental health treatment team, incorporates input from family members (with permission), and provides ongoing education and support to both clients and employers to ensure lasting success in the workforce or academic environment. Outreach and timely follow-up are essential to maintain engagement and address barriers to success. The specialist also provides support for clients who wish to pursue educational opportunities to further their career goals, using IPS-aligned principles adapted to supported education. Hours: Full-time This is a 40 hour full-time benefitted position which includes:- 3.2 weeks of PTO in first year

- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, rehabilitation counseling, or a related human services field required
- Prior experience as a supported employment or supported education specialist preferred
- Knowledge of the IPS Supported Employment model strongly preferred
- Experience working with individuals with mental illness, preferably in early intervention or community-based settings
- Strong communication, motivational interviewing, and job development skills
- Ability to build relationships with employers, schools, training programs, and community resources
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required
- Salary range varies based on experience, with the highest range offered to individuals holding a clinical license or credential such as LCSW, LPC, LAC, or LSW
