Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a home health assignment supporting the Morris County region, with Epic experience preferred and a requirement to live more than 50 miles from the facility.

Details

• Home health setting supporting the Morris County region
• May be required to float to a nearby sister facility
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM schedule with no weekend shifts required
• 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day
• Epic EMR used; experience preferred
• No on-call requirement
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NJ Physical Therapy license required
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program required
• 0–4 years of experience as a PT is strongly preferred
• Home health experience preferred
• Experience in a large acute care or academic medical setting preferred
• Board Certification as a Clinical Specialist in an area applicable to acute care is preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• 2 references required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Core responsibilities include patient evaluation, establishing plans of care, implementing treatment programs, providing patient and family education, documenting interventions, and appropriate billing
• Supports lead clinicians in competency development and participates in the orientation of new staff members
• May serve as a clinical instructor for PT students
• Expected to exercise independent clinical judgment on moderately complex cases with minimal supervision
• Candidates who completed a successful clinical affiliation with the client health system are given preference
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Orientation is conducted on-site in Morristown, NJ
