Buyer-Commodity Specialist

Ichor Systems has an immediate opening for a Buyer at our Fremont, California location.At Ichor, procurement and material availability are critical to our success. As part of our growing Global Supply Chain team, you will play a key role in ensuring the timely delivery of materials to support operations across multiple global sites. We continue to invest in our people, processes, and technology, and we are looking for a highly motivated procurement professional to join our team.The ideal candidate will have experience managing supplier relationships, coordinating inbound material deliveries, and supporting internal stakeholders with a strong sense of urgency. You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and are committed to delivering results while maintaining high levels of customer service and operational excellence.Skills:Highly organized and able to manage significant PO workload, track and drive closure on issuesAbility to learn / understand the supplier’s business and manufacturing processes, technology sourced, and product familiesAbility to concisely communicate escalations, requirements and issues to suppliers, stakeholders, peers, upper management and customers with clarityStrong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsSelf-motivated, proactive, detail oriented, hands-on and results drivenStrong knowledge of all aspects of purchasing, supplier selection, cost analysis and negotiation Work independently in fast paced environmentExperience and Education:Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering preferred 2-5 years relevant experience or a combination thereofExperience working in ERP (specifically MRP) & PLM systems; Oracle, SAP and Agile preferredFor candidates in CA: The pay range for this position is $78,900 - $134,100, exempt, per year.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. A summary of our Benefits will be provided during the interview process.Roles & Responsibilities - Other duties may be assignedChampion and influence best procurement practices and use of software and new technologyManage deliveries and escalations of the assigned commodity and suppliers across multiple manufacturing sitesTo complete this successfully you will:Maintain accurate ERP (specifically, MRP) records, quote, and item masterExecute purchase orders to suppliers in a timely manner Maintain accurate delivery information in the ERP system and in alignment with MRP requirementsEstablish daily working relationships with suppliers, managing changing priorities and escalationsMaintain strong internal stakeholder relationships through follow up, communication and quality of workProvide non-binding forecasts information to suppliers and regularly assess, monitor and report constraints and potential constraintsIdentify root cause issues of delivery constraints and drive corrective actions with both the supplier and cross functional Ichor Supply Chain teamManage returns and repair process for commitments for assigned commodityManage reclaim / salvage / re-sale / rework of excess and obsolete inventory for assigned commodityFull timePosting Date: 2026-08-01
