About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years of circulating experience required License: Pending license accepted Certifications: BCLS; CNOR preferred Must-Have: Circulating experience required Experience with cataracts preferred Description: Must work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles: Thanksgiving and the day after, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Circulating experience is required. Position is for outpatient operating room. Staffing ratio is 1:1. Experience with trauma eye call required. Will be required to take call starting at 5:30 PM overnight to 7:00 AM during the week, once a week. Weekend call is for 24-hour periods from Saturday morning to Monday morning once a month. Call is only for eye trauma cases. The facility is a Level I Trauma and Children's Client with a total of 554 staffed beds. Daily census may include children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Patient diagnoses consist of outpatient surgery, with all patients discharged the same day. Must have overall experience in ophthalmology, robotics, and orthopedics. This position also includes a preferred but not mandatory requirement for cataract experience.
