Job Summary

A local CPA firm in Shreveport, LA is seeking a full-time Tax Accountant for a direct hire opportunity within a stable public accounting environment. This role is a strong fit for an accounting professional with 1 to 2 years of experience who wants to build long-term expertise in tax preparation, bookkeeping, financial statements, and client service.

The Tax Accountant will support a variety of individual, business, trust, partnership, and corporate tax matters while learning from experienced accounting professionals. This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad public accounting exposure, work with diverse clients, and grow within a collaborative team that values accuracy, responsiveness, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals, trusts, corporations, and partnerships.
- Prepare federal and state tax projections for quarterly estimated tax payments.
- Prepare franchise tax, personal property tax, and payroll tax returns.
- Prepare or review monthly bookkeeping activity for client accounts.
- Prepare financial statements and support related accounting work.
- Research tax and accounting questions to help resolve client issues accurately and efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $50,000 to $70,000 per year, depending on experience.
- Direct hire, full-time opportunity.
- Benefit package available.
