Registered Nurse (RN) Geriatric

Registered Nurse (RN) – Adult Behavioral Health Sign-On Bonus : $20,000 with two-year agreement. Shift : Nights (7:00 pm – 7:00 am). Location : Maria Parham Franklin – Louisburg, NC. Summary Provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice for behavioral health patients. Collaborates with the interprofessional team to support a safe, therapeutic environment and high-quality outcomes. Reports to: Director or Manager of Department. Responsibilities Perform plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities. Document patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families. Assist patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation). Assist physicians with procedures and perform services requiring technical and manual skills. Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs). Assess learning needs and deliver age‑/culture‑appropriate patient and family education. Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient. Participate in unit and organizational performance improvement and required continuing education. Provide quality patient care and work other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on call. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (or compact license). Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required). One year of experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply. Work schedule: No call, every other weekend, rotating holidays. Skills & Competencies Critical thinking and decisive judgment; ability to work with minimal supervision in stressful environments. Ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple clinical software systems. Effective English communication (read, write, speak, and understand).
