American Communities is seeking an experienced, hands-on Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee the upkeep of our property and lead our maintenance team. This role ensures high-quality maintenance service, strong curb appeal, and excellent resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance operations and assign work orders
• Perform and oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general repairs
• Conduct property inspections and ensure preventative maintenance is completed
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed
• Maintain supplies, tools, and maintenance inventory
• Support budgeting and cost control efforts
• Train and guide maintenance team members
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience (multifamily or property management preferred)
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Previous leadership experience preferred
• EPA Certification
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
• Ability to perform physical maintenance work
• Valid driver’s license preferred
